Airport transfer
Will someone meet me at the airport or will I have to take a taxi?
Free return transfers are provided for all students in homestay accommodation. If you would like to be met on arrival at the airport, at the Codrington Language Centre can arrange this for you. The charge is USD 35 for a one-way transfer.
Classes
What time do classes begin and end?
Group classes are from 09:00 to 12:15 Monday - Friday, or by arrangement, 13:15 to 16:30.
Is there a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes, at the end of the course, The Codrington Language Centre presents a certificate of participation, indicating the number of course hours the student has taken.
Will I have to pay for resources?
No, students do not pay for resources; they're included in the tuition fee.
Is there WiFi at the centre?
Yes, students may use the centre's WiFi at any time.
Accommodation - Hotel
How far are the hotels from the centre?
There are hotels within 10 minutes' walking distance of the centre. Students may take the bus if they choose a hotel which is further away (USD 1.75 to/from anywhere on the island).
How far are the hotels from the beaches, shops, restaurants, banks and night life?
Some hotels are on the beach. All of the hotels are within walking distance of the beaches, shops, restaurants, banks and night life.
Accommodation - Apartments
What facilities are there in the apartments?
The Rockley apartments are air conditioned with a kitchenette, twin or double beds, T.V. and WiFi. They are situated on a golf course and share pools. The property also provides a restaurant, spa and tennis courts.
Accommodation - Homestay
How far is the Homestay accommodation from The Codrington Language Centre?
The Homestay accommodation is about a 10 minute drive from the centre.
How will I get to the centre from the Homestay accommodation?
On the first day, the students are driven from the Homestay accommodation to the centre by the host family. After that, the students take the bus (USD 1.75 to/from anywhere on the island).
Will I have a room to myself or will I share a room?
There is a choice of private (when available) or shared rooms.
Will I have a private or shared bathroom?
Bathrooms at the Homestay accommodation are shared.
Extracurricular Activities
Does the centre offer advice about extracurricular activities?
Yes, our co-ordinator will give students any help they need to arrange the extracurricular activities of their choice.
